Curling in and around the East Kilbride area
has been in vogue for at least the last two hundred years
and probably twice that if not more.
The East Kilbride Club was formed in 1830.
The Haremyres Club was formed in 1872.
The two clubs joined forces in 1929.
Today our curling club has an active membership
of over one hundred players competing at club,
inter-club and national level.
We are a strong mixed club with an autonomous Ladies Section
operating within the main club.
The "townies" outweigh the "clod busters" by about 10%.
We welcome new members as the life blood of the club
and look forward to hearing from anyone interested in curling with us.
All our club curling is played at Lanarkshire Ice Rink in Hamilton;
although we do have interclub curling
full of friendly rivalry at other ice-rinks.
The season runs from about mid September to the end of March.
